Six chairs, one treatment room, and a price list with the times on it. Cutting, color, balayage, and the slow work that keeps color wearable.

Salons price by the person, and most websites hide it. Ours is on the wall by the door and it is here too.

Blonde, balayage, and correction work. She is the one who will tell you honestly that your hair needs two sessions instead of one.

Short cuts, fringes, and gloss. Rae came through our two year apprenticeship and took the Thursday late chair.

Everyone here trains the same way, uses the same color line, and gives the same twenty minute consultation. The difference in the rate is years, and how quickly somebody gets where they are going. A stylist chair is not a lesser haircut, it is a newer pair of hands with more room in the diary.
None of this is fine print. It is the part of the appointment that goes wrong most often when nobody says it out loud.
Twenty minutes, no charge, no obligation to book anything. We look at your hair dry and in daylight, ask what your mornings are like, and say plainly what we can do and what we cannot.
Bring photographs. Bring the ones you hate too, they are more useful.
Any color that touches your skin needs a patch test at least 48 hours before the appointment. That includes brow and lash tint, and it includes a colorist you have seen for years if the formula changes.
It takes ten minutes and needs no appointment. Walk in any afternoon we are open. We cannot color without one, and we will not make an exception on the day.
The times on the price list are the times we actually book. If we think your hair needs longer, we tell you when you book, not when you are already in the chair with a coffee going cold.
Color runs long sometimes. We hold the chair rather than hurry the rinse.
Move or cancel any appointment with 24 hours notice and there is no charge, ever, for any reason. Inside 24 hours, or a missed appointment, we ask for half the booked service before the next visit.
We are a small team booking in long blocks. An empty three hour color slot is most of somebody's day.
Wren Basara runs the room at the back of the salon. It is the only treatment space we have, which means it is never a corridor and there is never a second bed on the other side of a curtain.
Facials, massage, brows and lashes. Wren will tell you what a facial can do for texture and comfort and what it honestly cannot, and she will not sell you a course of six. If you want to come once a season, come once a season.
Book the room on its own, or after a color. Long color days and a forty five minute massage go together better than they have any right to.
Finished photographs are easy. The middle of a long appointment is the honest part, so here is one of ours.

Marguerite came in with eleven months of dark box color over her natural mid brown and a photograph of hair three shades lighter. Imogen strand tested, said no to one session, and booked two, ten weeks apart. The first session lifted the ends and left the roots alone. The second brought the mid lengths up and toned everything to the same temperature.
She keeps it with a gloss every eight weeks and a cut every twelve. That is the real cost of blonde, and it is better to hear it before than after.
Any value from $25, spendable on anything we do, including the treatment room and the retail shelf. No package to pick, no service to guess at, and no expiry inside five years.
Call and we will take the details over the phone. Printed on cotton card and posted free anywhere in Ashbourne, or sent as a PDF the same afternoon if you have left it late. Most people leave it late.
Redeemable against any service or product. Valid five years from the date it is bought. Not exchangeable for cash, and we will replace it once if it goes through the wash.
Late chairs Wednesday and Thursday. Last color booking is 5.30, because a full head of foils needs its three hours.

We answer between clients, so a message with your name, a number, and a rough time of day gets a call back the same afternoon. Email is fine for color questions, and Imogen would rather see a photograph than read a paragraph.
